What is Xeomin?

Xeomin is a cosmetic injectable that is used to temporarily relax facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Just like Botox, it is made from a purified form of botulinum toxin protein derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. The key difference between the two are the extra proteins found in Botox. Xeomin is double purified, filtering out the accessory proteins not needed for efficacy. With repeated Botox use, some clients have noted less impressive results. This is likely due to an immune response to the proteins in Botox. Because Xeomin lacks those proteins, antibodies won’t be formed, allowing your treatment to work more efficiently.

What is filler?

There are several different types of filler, each which serve a unique purpose. The filler used at The Summer Aesthetic is a hyaluronic acid based filler. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is found within the body. We currently use Lips + and Versa made by Revance. Fillers are most commonly used to help with wrinkles as well as build/shape faces. Lips are the most common area of filler and can help shape, define, and give volume to lips. Other areas include the mouth/nose area, or the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Filler can last up to 12 months!

Lipo shots (MICC)

MICC:

• Methionine Inositol Choline (MIC) injection consists of a formula of lipotropics, compounds that help break down fat.
• The primary compounds in the formula–methionine, inositol, choline–work to metabolize fat cells and assist in the elimination of stored fat deposits in the liver and body. Together they may encourage fat reduction.
• There are many compounded versions of the MICC shot with varying additions. The blend I use also contains a full milligram of B12 AND B6.
• B12 can aid in balancing metabolism, increasing energy, and improving cognition & sleep. It can also support bone density, mood, & weight loss.
• B6 is responsible for the breakdown of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats in the body. This can help to reduce water weight and bloating!
